For a pharmacy, a wholesaler is only as good as the chain of custody behind every box. The medications you dispense have to be genuine, stored correctly, and sourced through channels you can stand behind to a board of pharmacy or a patient. That is not a feature we add on top of distribution, it is the distribution.
Pharmsource operates as a licensed pharmaceutical wholesale distributor under federal and state law. Every shipment is licensed, documented, and traceable, and every line we carry is bought through authorized, verified trading partners. Below is how each layer of that integrity works, and how you can verify it.

Drug Supply Chain Security Act
DSCSA transaction data & traceability
The Drug Supply Chain Security Act exists to keep counterfeit, diverted, and stolen product out of the legitimate supply chain. Pharmsource meets those requirements on every regulated line: DSCSA transaction information, history, and statements travel with the product, recording where it came from and each authorized trading partner it passed through before it reached us.
That means full transaction information is available on the products you order, your shipment is traceable back through the chain of custody, and suspect or illegitimate product is flagged and quarantined rather than passed along. If your board of pharmacy or an auditor asks where a product originated, the record is there.
Our DSCSA traceability is powered by LSPediA. Customers can look up transaction data for their shipments in the LSPediA portal.

Federal & state authority
DEA & state licensing
Distributing pharmaceuticals, and especially controlled substances, is a regulated activity, not an open market. Pharmsource holds the licensure required to do it lawfully: registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration to handle Schedule II–V controlled substances, and wholesale distributor licensing at the state level.

Complete transaction data only matters if the product was sourced correctly to begin with. Pharmsource buys through authorized distributors and manufacturers, verified trading partners, so the DSCSA record on every line traces product back to its origin.
We do not shop the gray market. Trading partners are vetted for authorized-source status, and that discipline is what lets us stand behind every NDC we ship. When you consolidate ordering with one account, you are also consolidating to one sourcing standard you can trust.

Storage & transit
Cold-chain & proper handling
A medication that left the manufacturer in spec can still be ruined by mishandling in storage or transit. That is why proper handling is part of our compliance posture, not an afterthought. Temperature-sensitive products, vaccines, injectables, and other refrigerated items, are stored and shipped under cold-chain handling designed to hold them in range from our distribution center to your door.
Refrigerated orders are packed for the cold chain and routed on the appropriate UPS service level so transit time works in your favor. Non-temperature-sensitive product is handled to the same care standard, so what arrives is what you ordered, in the condition you expected.
